Well Miller® RCB

Reverse Circulating Bit

Welltec Miller RCB 1920X1080 00000

The Well Miller RCB (Reverse Circulating Bit) integrates both a rotary bit with a suction system to provide the combined benefits of both in one powerful tool.

This design breaks through obstacles, such as composite plugs, and recovers the generated cuttings with suction into the integrated bailers. In one and the same run you can mill such obstacles as composite plugs and remove them from the well to prevent further associated problems.

Case Highlights

Featured case

In Argentina’s Vaca Muerta, the Well Miller RCB was deployed during pre-frac operations to clear obstructions preventing toe sleeve activation in a long horizontal producer. Conveyed via Well Tractor, the solution restored access along a lateral of 3,250 meters (10,663 ft), and to a depth of 6,745 meters (22,129 ft) in under two days. The rapid clean-out kept the frac program on schedule while reducing intervention time, surface footprint, and operational complexity.

The Well Miller RCB (Reverse Circulating Bit) incorporates both a rotary system and a suction system that are combined for maximum efficiency.

This design breaks down hard debris and recovers the cuttings to the surface in the same run. Alternately a nozzle brush can be used instead of a bit to remove hard deposits from the walls of the tubular and retrieve them simultaneously.
